Join the Society and recieve the benefits of membership:

The society provides assistance for anyone tracing their family tree, whether an absolute beginner or a long time researcher. Regular workshops on tracing your family history and related subjects are conducted by volunteer members and others. The Society holds an extensive range of records to help with research in Cairns, Queensland, Australia and overseas.

It's also fun to interact with people who share the same hobby as you! After all, we are a special breed!

Financial Members are entilted to:

  • Attend meetings and workshops
  • Three issues per year of "Origins" the Society's Journal
  • A regular Newsletter - forwarded by email
  • Ordering certificates from England, Scotland and Wales through our express service
  • Submit for publication articles of interest in "Origins" and the Newsletter
  • Reduced fees to access and use the Resource Centre and Library
  • Plus many other benefits.

Membership Fees

The current annual fees are:

  • $50.00 per single
  • $65.00 per family
  • $45.00 per pensioner
  • $60.00 per pensioner family. (Please include your pension number on application form)
